“Too Much Power Has Been Invested Into TikTokers For Them To Pass Such Comments”-Fameye Slams Asantewaa Over Recent Comments [Video]

Ghanaian musician, Fameye has registered his sentiments about the recent comment passed by the well-known TikToker, Asantewaa that musicians will never trend with their songs without the intervention of TikTokers.

Asantewaa in an interview on the United Showbiz aired on UTV intimated that irrespective of the relevance of musicians in the industry, their songs cannot garner the required attention on social media without the aid of TikTokers.

“It doesn’t matter how long you have played your music game, when you release the song it is no longer about the craft unless the song is being given to us, else you will have to jam to the song yourself”, she said.

In reaction to that, Fameye believes that too much power and attention has been invested in Ghanaian TikTokers, hence they feel musicians cannot thrive in the music industry without their assistance.

Speaking with Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Fameye lamented that it was inappropriate for Asantewaa to have passed such comments but he believes she was motivated by the power people and some musicians have invested in them.

He stated that the fact that a particular song is trending on TikTok doesn’t mean the musician is that good, hence just because some musicians are not trending on the platform doesn’t mean they are not relevant or talented.
