Did I just see 2001 for Afriyie Barnieh? – Ghanaians Confused As Date Of Birth For Black Stars Players Go Viral

A table of the date of births for Ghanaian players representing the country at this year’s World Cup has left many confused online.

Social media users cannot believe the age and date of birth of Ghanaian players in the Blackstars team for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

They argued that some players might have presented the wrong date or the viral chart was created just to stir up emotions online.

Per reports on the chart, the youngest player in the Blackstars team was born in 2004 while the oldest player was born in 1988.

Netizens could not also believe Jordan Ayew is two years older than Thomas Teye Partey.

Check below for the chart and read some comments as well.

Michael Kese wrote; “Odoi, Andre, and Jordan’s date is a bit honest than the rest. Partey say Jordan Ayew is older than him. yate wae”

Godfred Baffour called on FIFA to request BECE certificates for the players to be sure of their age.

“In fact, if FIFA should request for BECE certs of these players, I’m sure there would be Violence in our team ..🧐🏃🤸🤺🛌”

Buriya Kazoe had this to say;

“And Fatawu, the youngest was born in 2004🤣🤣🤣. Anybody can cut off his age more than ten years away, the time FIFA will know you to be 35years old player and you will be old and can’t even run talk less of playing football that you will see the effects of such nonsense. Fatawu, you are my son.”

Eunice Ewoenam could not believe her eyes.

“So you mean am older than all of them here..Eeiii 😳“

Kharmabwoy Omar disagreed with the chart regarding Afriyie Barnieh’s age.

“Did I just see 2001 for Afriyie Barnieh🙆‍♂️💔😂”
