The head coach of the black stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has expressed his disappointment in Moroccan- American referee Ismail Elfath for his abysmal officiating during his side’s opening group match against Portugal.
Coach Otto Addo, upon recounting his bitter loss in a post-match interview indicated that
“The referee gave a penalty which was not a penalty. Everyone saw that. Why? Because it’s Ronaldo or something?”
“If somebody scores a goal, congratulations. But this was really a gift. A special gift from the referee.”
The Black stars will play South Korea, in their second group stage match at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan on 28th November at 1 pm GMT.
