Game Of Thrones Star Emilia Clarke Emotionally Speaks After Surviving Two Strokes – Reveals Parts Of Her Brain No Longer Function

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has revealed parts of her brain are missing and no longer function, a consequence of twice suffering a stroke and miraculously surviving both.

Clarke, known for playing Daenerys Targaryen, or Khaleesi, on the HBO mega show, said it’s a miracle she’s still able to live life normally and even speak coherently.

Speaking with the BBC, Clarke said the brain aneurysms she suffered were incredibly painful.

“It was incredibly helpful to have ‘Game of Thrones’ sweep me up and give me that purpose,” she added.

The 35-year-old experienced both aneurysms on the set of the popular HBO show – in 2011 and 2013.

She underwent surgery both times and survived but has lost a big chunk of her brain.

“The amount of my brain that is no longer usable — it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions,” Clarke said.

“I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.”

Since her miraculous recovery, the actress has founded a charity for people who suffer as she did called SameYou.

Emilia Clarke captivated the world with her imperious performance as Khaleesi in Game of Thrones, but unknown to most at the time, she twice had to undergo surgery for a brain aneurysm.

Turns out, Emilia Clarke is every bit as brave and strong as Daenerys Targaryen!
