The Ghana police must probe further to know Josephine Panyin Mensah, the woman who allegedly faked her pregnancy and kidnapping in Takoradi in the Western Region who the real mother of her firstborn is following the latest revelations.
''How can a woman fake her pregnancy and kidnapping and make everyone thinks there is insecurity in the country? Police must dig further if she is the mother of her firstborn'', Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Kofi Akpaloo suggested when he spoke on Kumasi-based Hello FM.
She is provisionally facing two charges of deceiving a public officer and publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic.
Speaking ti the development, the LPG founder is of a strong view that there are more hands in the alleged fake kidnapping and issues of pregnancy which police should do more to arrest and prosecute whoever is involved.
Appearing in court for the first time, following her confession to faking a nine-month pregnancy and a kidnapping that gained the entire nation's interest, the 28-year-old was admitted to a bail of GHC50,000 with sureties.
''The law must work. This lady shouldn't be spared at all, the mother, husband and whoever is connected should be jailed to serve as a deterrent to like-minded Ghanaians who always peddle falsehood in the country'', Mr. Akploo pointed out.
